Where automation helps

Call answering during rush hours

An AI voice agent takes bookings and answers questions when the team cannot pick up.

Table booking

Bookings checked against availability and confirmed, with reminders to cut no-shows.

Menu and FAQ on WhatsApp

Opening hours, menu, dietary information and directions answered instantly.

Order status and takeaway

Order updates and simple takeaway orders connected to your ordering system.

Feedback and reviews

Ask diners for feedback after the visit and route problems to the manager.

Daily summary

End-of-day summary of bookings, calls and common questions.

What to watch for

  • Allergen information must come from an approved, current source and the bot must say when to check with staff.
  • Large group bookings and special events should go to a person.
  • Integration depends on your booking and POS systems.
  • Calls should disclose that they are with an AI.
Allergens and safety: the assistant should only repeat information you have approved, and for allergy questions it should tell guests to confirm with staff.

How we start

Step 1. Free audit

We look at how enquiries, bookings and admin flow today.

Step 2. Pick one pilot

Usually the task where missed work costs you most.

Step 3. Build with your systems

We connect to your booking, CRM, accounting or practice software.

Step 4. Review and extend

We check results with your team and add the next automation.

A day with automation in the dining room

On Friday at 19:10 the phone rings six times while the team is serving. The voice agent answers each call: three are booking requests, checked against availability and confirmed by text; two ask about parking and vegetarian options, answered from your approved information; one is a large-group enquiry, which it logs and flags for the manager to call back the next morning. In the morning the manager reads a summary of calls, bookings made and questions asked.

Illustrative example, not a client result. It shows how the automation would behave day to day.

What the summary tells you

  • Which questions guests ask most, which shows what your website and menu fail to say.
  • How many calls were missed before and after automation.
  • Which time slots have the highest no-show rates, to adjust reminders or deposits.
  • Feedback themes from post-visit messages.

We connect to your booking tool, calendar or POS where an API exists, and otherwise route requests to staff with the details filled in.

Questions to ask any vendor

  • Where is our data stored, and who can access it?
  • What happens when the AI is unsure or the customer asks for a person?
  • How do you test accuracy on our own real cases?
  • What are the ongoing costs: platform, messaging, calls and model usage?
  • Who owns the content, configuration and data if we leave?
  • How are allergy and dietary questions handled?

Frequently asked questions

Can an AI take restaurant bookings?

Yes, by phone, WhatsApp or web chat, connected to your booking system or calendar.

Can it answer allergy questions?

It can share approved allergen information and always advise confirming with staff. Safety-critical questions should go to a person.

Does it work with my POS?

It depends on whether your POS or ordering system offers an API. We check during the audit.

Can it take delivery orders?

Simple orders can be handled if your ordering system supports it. We scope this per system.
